– Rep. Matt Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) was discharged Sunday from the hospital where he was being treated for abdominal pain due to an infection and diabetes.
“I am feeling much better than when I came into the hospital and will now follow up with my family doctors,” said Dowling. “I am once again forever grateful to the nurses, doctors and staff at Lancaster General Hospital for their top-notch care. I am also humbled by the many messages of encouragement from constituents, neighbors and friends.”
Dowling became ill earlier this month and saw his primary care physician, as well as specialists in the Uniontown area. He went to the emergency room last week due to severe stomach pain.
Dowling will be featured tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. on the PCN TV show “On the Issues,” where he will be speaking about his health and the last pieces of legislation he is working on before the end of his term.
