UNIONTOWN – Rep. Matthew Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) is hosting two Seniors for Safe Driving courses next month in Uniontown and Meyersdale.

The course is designed for drivers age 55 and older to become safer and more confident on the road. Drivers who complete the course may also be eligible for a discount on their auto insurance.

“This is a great opportunity for our senior citizens to get a refresher on the rules of the road and strategies to help keep them, their passengers and other motorists safe,” Dowling said.

The first session will be held Thursday, Sept. 23, at Grace Brethren Church, 100 Grace Lane, Uniontown, and the second will be held Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Meyersdale Fire Hall, 202 Main St., Meyersdale. Both courses will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mature drivers are encouraged to choose the session that works best for them. They do not need to attend both.

Registration is required, and the class costs $16. A link to register is available at or call 1-800-559-4880.
