$20 Million Available to Prep Students for STEM Careers, Dowling Says

Currently, the Pennsylvania Election Code of 1937 allows candidates seeking to run for school board, county court of Common Pleas and district judges to file nomination petitions for multiple political parties that have become hyper partisan.

Dowling Announces $168,807 Grant to Rehab Georges Township Trail

UNIONTOWN – To enhance an existing walking trail in the Fayette Business Park in Georges Township, Rep. Matthew Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) advocated for a $168,807 grant that was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) today. The planned improvements to the existing walking trail will increase public safety by removing pedestrians from the busy roads throughout the industrial park.

Dowling and Walmart Officials Announce Funding to Connect Residents with In-Demand Jobs

WHAT: A press conference in conjunction with a senior Walmart executive to present a check to the Redstone Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce. The $10,000 contribution will be used for the Fayette Business Education Partnership and will fund programs that support High Priority Occupations (HPOs) within the region.

Dowling and South Union Township Supervisors Thank Walmart for Dog Park

WHAT: A press conference in conjunction with senior Walmart executives to present a check to South Union Township. The funding helped to provide South Union Township with Fayette County’s first and only dog park. These funds helped the supervisors acquire a blighted property, which was reclaimed and renovated to create this leash-free canine park along the Sheepskin Trail. In addition, this funding will also assist in the purchase of additional resources along the Sheepskin – to be announced at the press conference.
