UNIONTOWN – To protect residents of the 51st District from the threat of coronavirus, Rep. Matthew Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) joins with other offices at 65 West Main St. in remaining operational but closing to all foot traffic beginning Friday, March 13.

While employing social distancing to limit the potential spread of coronavirus, the office will continue to serve residents via phone at 724-438-6100 and online at Employees will continue to report to work, but visitors will not be permitted.

Satellite offices will also be closed all of next week. Reopening the offices will be considered on Friday, March 20, for the week of March 23 as more information becomes available.

“I appreciate the understanding of all residents as we try to balance everyone’s safety with our desire to provide state-related services. We know that receiving assistance in person is preferred by some people, so we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” Dowling said.

In the interest of preserving safety, Dowling’s concealed carry seminar planned for Saturday, March 14, has been canceled. Another concealed carry seminar will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Addison Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall, 7214 National Pike, Addison.

Cancellations of other planned events will be evaluated as the situation develops.
