UNIONTOWN – Rep. Matthew Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) is hosting two Senior Safe Driving courses. The first will be held Friday, Sept. 20, at the Third Presbyterian Church, 425. Union St., Uniontown, and the second will be held Friday, Sept. 27, at the Meyersdale American Legion, 413 Grant St., Meyersdale. Both courses will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The course is designed for drivers age 55 and older to become safer and more confident on the road. As both trainings are identical, participants only need to attend one day – not both.
“Spending a few hours focusing on safe driving habits is a great investment. In fact, both free courses offer financial incentive for participants, so I encourage our mature drivers to sign up now,” Dowling said.
Because the courses are PennDOT-approved for Mature Driver Improvement, participants may receive a minimum of 5% discount on their auto insurance premium for three years, as mandated by Pennsylvania law, upon completion of the course.
While the courses are free, registration is required. Register online at RepDowling.com
