UNIONTOWN – Rep. Matthew Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) announced he will host a free Community Paper Shredding Event on Friday, April 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the SeniorLIFE Parking Lot at 5-Corners, West Main Street in Uniontown.

“Many of us have stacks of paper at home, especially after tax season, that we mean to get rid of, but haven’t had time to do so,” said Dowling. “This event gives residents’ the opportunity to use a reputable shredding company to dispose of their unneeded, unwanted paper while also helping the environment and decreasing the possibility of identity theft.”

A local shredding company will be present to shred area residents’ paper materials and will take up to four boxes per household. As a reminder, this event is limited to residents’ paper only. Paper from businesses or organizations will not be permitted.

For more information, contact Dowling’s district office at 724-438-6100.
